Gota Ihashi Sees The Light – New DDT King Of Dark Champion Crowned

Remember this day, for it marks the end of an era. As of June 6, 2015, Gota Ihashi’s epic reign as DDT King of Dark Champion is over. Yes, you read that correctly. It was not a typo. Kota Ibushi’s kayfabe family member is no longer the King of Dark Champion. Please take a moment to let this monumental news sink in. I’ll wait.

Are you ready to continue? Do you need another moment? Let’s press on then. Gota Ihashi was the first ever DDT King of Dark Champion. History was made when he won the title all the way back in February at DDT “Saitama Super DDT 2015″, and unsuccessfully retained the title in 11 defenses. Meaning he successfully lost 11 King of Dark title matches.

It was DDT “KING OF DDT 2015 SAITAMA”on June 6th, 2015 in front of a packed house 460 fans when Ihashi made history again. Ihashi faced off against Suguru Miyatake in his 12th defense of the title. Ihashi actually faced, and lost to Miyatake in his first successful defense of the title at DDT “Into The Fight 2015” in February. However, this time Ihashi’s (un)luck ran out when he pinned Miyatake after a Cross Body Attack in 3:43. Gota Ihashi is now free from DDT dark match purgatory.

Gota Ihashi’s revolutionary reign as DDT King of Dark Champion will be remembered by generations to come.

Welcome to the Land That Light Forgot, Miyatake. I hope you brought a flashlight.

Special thanks to Dramatic DDT for all the latest DDT news and results.

Danshoku Dino vs. Kota Ibushi: GAY PHOENIX FIGHT!

What happens when Danshoku Dino faces Kota Ibushi in a one-on-one match? We get some very creative penis based offensive manoeuvres (offensive in every sense of the word), and a whole lotta sloppy kisses. Surprisingly, we also get a really sweet, uplifting ending to a show.

Poll: Who Will Leave NJPW Invasion Attack 2015 With The IWGP Heavyweight Championship?

Shots Fired! AJ Styles Crosses The Line

Did I just make a TNA Wrestling reference? Dang it!

During the intermission of the NJPW Road To Invasion Attack show from Korakuen Hall on April 2nd, AJ Styles cut a scathing promo on his Invasion Attack opponent, Kota Ibushi.

However, Ibushi wasn’t Styles’s only target. During the promo, Styles made some wild allegations about DDT’s Yoshihiko. AJ stated that while Ibushi was out wrestling “those little fake dolls,” preparing for his IWGP championship match, AJ was in the gym training like a real wrestler. FAKE DOLLS! How dare you! Yoshihiko is a competitor. Yoshihiko has taken guys like Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega to the limit, and beyond. Yoshihiko is a former Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion, and so is a ladder, but that’s beside the point. Have you ever been an Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion, AJ Styles? I didn’t think so.

AJ Styles didn’t stop there. He went on to defame Yoshihiko, calling him/her/it a dummie. SLANDER! You’d better lawyer up, AJ, defamation is no laughing matter!

The only dummie I see around here is the one that you’ll be sucking on like a baby after Ibushi takes away your precious IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Invasion Atack!

You always like to say “It’s real, It’s real,” like you’re Kurt Angle or something. Well, you know what AJ Styles, you’re REALLY going eat your words when Kota Ibushi kicks the dummie out of you at Invasion Attack on April 5th, live on NJPW World!

Here’s hoping Yoshihiko makes a surprise appearance and corners Kota Ibushi. If Kenny Omega is then in AJ Styles’s corner, I’m going to lose my s#%t.

SPOILERS: The 2015 New Japan Cup Winner Is

Kota Ibushi!

Kota Ibushi defeated Tetsuya Naito in the semifinals and Hirooki Goto in the finals to win the 2015 New Japan Cup. This is easily Ibushi’s biggest win and achievement since joining the New Japan heavyweight division.

And Ibushi DIDN’T challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the IWGP Intercontinental title in a Wrestle Kingdom 9 rematch. Instead, Ibushi is aiming straight for the top as he’s challenged IWGP Heavyweight champion A.J. Styles.

Thats a match I am very, very much looking forward to.

Congratulations Kota Ibushi!
